5 steps to get the most out of Twitter Bio

Twitter bio is what describes ‘about you’ in just 160 words! Yeah for many it’s too less of space to write about yourself, so you need to make the most out of it to shine out! Here are my 5 steps to get the most out of twitter bio –

[slideshare id=43820371&doc=ultimate-150123062449-conversion-gate02]

Merge with the crowd

Twitter is the place you need to find like minded people from all over! Yes you can be witty and funny in your Bio but that will probably eat up the space in your bio instead of showing off your real potential. Connect with people with simple words which describe you and play it safe. So when you are being ordinary you can connect with more people easily.

Be precise and be honest

When you are forwarding your true identity on twitter, people connect instantly. People want to follow you for what you can offer, the more real you are the more interested they become.

Be legit, be you

People want to follow real human beings and when you put forth your identity with your genuine profile picture, your job title, @company where you are working, etc to your bio, that just adds more to your true identity and makes it more legit.

Use #tags , @, links or symbols

These can help those who are searching for profiles like yours connect easily. Use #tags which you generally use, your website link, @ mention the company you are working with currently.

Highlight your achievements

Just showcase what your potential is, what you can offer, #photography #motivator #creative. By doing this you can add a new dimension to your profile.

Your twitter bio is what makes the first impression on your profile. First impression is the last impression so make it Legendary! Do let me know if you have some more pointers to add to this list!

How to create a homemade infographic

When it comes to social media, we all know visuals works wonders! It’s never too bad to keep on experimenting with your content once in a while with visuals and infographic is also one of the option to represent your data visually. With infographics you can not only simplify your data in more visual way but also attract readers. But all of us are not designers who can create those kind of designs! So here is my option to create homemade simple infographics to add variety and depth to your content!

[slideshare id=43729265&doc=fresh2-150121014931-conversion-gate01]

#1 Organize your content

Whatever data you have, sort it out, compress it, make it more cleaner and simpler. Divide it into specified sections in rough.

#2 Creates a story

The best thing about Infographics is that they can be understood easily. Like stories are easier way to make people understand something in real life, infographics telling a story or connecting data with help of story will defiantly help the readers to understand and connect with it easily.

#3 Content placement

Infographics are way of communicating numeric data in a visual manner. Hence the topic of what you are going to represent in infographic is very essential. It is the summery and needs to be attractive and interesting. Header should be self explanatory, if not then you can add a sub header to explain the header story. Do add your company logo for branding. In footer you can add references links, your company address, links

#4 Creation tools

There are plenty of creation tools like canva, Picmonkey, ease.ly, photoshop elements ,etc. Try them out to know which one works for you better. I do recommend canva as it is easy to use and has variety of vectors to work with. The end result is also very professional and visually appealing.

#5 Distribution

Distribution is very essential for content to work on social media. Publish the infographic on blog by writing a blog about it, set up an embed code of it and promote it on all social media channels.

Start with small data infographics, and as you keep on creating, you will sure get a hang of it and be an expert!

Social Checklist 2015 – Your social networking upgrade

Don’t you want to start afresh every year? Get over with previous years’ poor decisions and start everything on a blank page? So why not start everything on the social media from new leaf too?  If you are thinking what I am thinking, then here is my checklist to a new start of 2015 which might come in handy!

Friend list clean incentive

Clean India is so all over my country right now, so I thought why not reconsider my friend list and get rid of those who I barely know? In cases like mine, there are many whom I just add up for the sake of a request and by the time I realized my friend list was overflowing with people like these, I had no idea why I added them in the first place! By getting rid of them you will not only have a clean home feed but also you will keep in touch with those who are actually close to you.

Email unsubscription day

Wow my inbox is so full of mails I don’t even remember why I subscribed to in the first place! It’s just spamming my inbox & I can barely find the important mails from the past! Make time to get rid of those subscriptions this year by unsubscribing them. Also delete the old mails with help of email filtering tools, there are many tools which can help you clean out your old useless mails easily.

Let’s socialize for real

Even though I am a big social media enthusiast, it that does not stop me from living my social life for real, as everyone should enjoy people’s company for real. But I see many of my friends who have good jobs or are studying right now indulge too much in social media which I feel is bad part of social media. When I go out with my friends and they are more interested in tagging themselves or uploading pictures or just chatting online. Lets make an effort to minimize the social life online and enjoy the offline life more this year!

I feel social media is all about getting close to people and if we miss out on that part for real, social media is really not working the way it should be!

Do share your social checklist for 2015 & your thoughts too….

3 step Pinterest Marketing made easy

There are many tricks in order to increase the traffic via Pinterest but in case you are are looking for more repins of your content, you need to make it easy for visitors to take action. Here are my 3 step Pinterest marketing guide which can help you optimize your goals!

[slideshare id=43184789&doc=3steppinterestmadeeasy-150104090042-conversion-gate01]

Providing relevant pin description

Users like me are lazy to write the description, hence it just happens that potential for others who are keen to know about the product is left out because of the bad or incomplete description.  By providing a proper description you can increase the chances of repins and there by your engagement.  Use hashtags which are relevant to the pin too.

Customized boards for products

A customized board will allow you to showcase your product, it’s features and the story behind it via the pin description, further making people interested in the product or services more. You can also showcase your videos with specialty pinterest boards which can further help the users to get organized sorted results. If you are location specific company, you can create and promote a location based board to promote on going events and activities.

Keep an eye on the pinners

Many pinners add their personality to the pins and thus when you keep an eye on how they are using the content like the keywords, the product, etc will sure help you in your market research. These keywords can further be used in product description, on website, etc.
